Since 2015, artist Ernest Truely has been developing Ernie’s Pop Up Spa at international art festivals, cultural events as well as on the street. He offers spa services including haircuts and explores themes of care through touch, trust, intimacy and transformation. This edition of Ernie’s Pop Up Spa is produced and presented by Catalysti at the World Village Festival.
Ernie’s Pop Up Spa addresses alternative economies in the context of sustainable artistic practice in the Anthropocene.

World Village Festival offers memorable experiences and exciting activities for people of all ages for free. The weekend offers the audience an opportunity to enjoy several concerts, documentaries, timely discussions, kids programme and exhibitors. In 2022 the festival will be organised on a smaller scale online and, if permitted by the pandemic situation, also live on sites around Helsinki.
