Frozen Species – processual exhibition

FROZEN SPECIES. It’s processual exhibition performed by 17 foreigner artists living in Helsinki and organized by the curator/artists Gian Luigi Biagini (IT) and John Dunn (Cascadia). Each of the 17 artists will build their own totem-installation on skis. The 15 totems will be towed in a parade on an iced surface, an urban iced desert that will be occupied by the artists as if it were a huge open white cube, a no man�s land for a living nomadic exhibition, open to all contingencies and phase-shiftings which occur throughout the process. 

Featuring such artists as: Gian Luigi Biagini (Italy), John Dunn (Cascadia), Marek Pluciennik (Poland/Canada), Roberto Pugliese (Italy), Arlene Tucker(USA/Taiwan) in and on  frozen Helsinki�s between Pitkasilta and Siltavuorensalmi,Helsinki, just off shore from the Ympyr�talo in Hakaniemi.The process starts at 12.30 pm, February 15th.

The parade of installation will take place in February 24th beginning at 12.30

february 26, 6-10 pm : “frozen species against the walls” at eskus live arts center, kaasutehtaankatu 1/33, 00540 helsinki, puhdistamo, building nr. 6, 2. floor.
