Catalysti + Vuotalo come together this Fall 2025 for a series of 6 artist-led workshops celebrating dance, drawing and sound, zine-making, language understood through clay, symbols of protection, and mushroom imaginations.

Have you ever wondered how to translate the feeling of protection into a symbol? Or do you have a connection to a protective symbol, image, or object that makes you feel safer? Would you like to explore how these little images can be transformed into gifts of protection?
Together with Kemê, we will create small symbolic gifts as protective images you can take and hang at home or at Vuotalo, helping our shared wishes for safety, care, and community reach others as we welcome 2026.
All materials will be provided, and you can choose how long you wish to participate.
Join us to explore the diversity of our symbols, their links to our heritages, and the rich ways we carry them. Or simply come with curiosity, experiment freely, and let care move from your heart through your hands into what you make.
