Balkanese music group Svirki Svirjat was founded in the late 1990s for the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival, as a project by an international group of musicians
Since then the group has played at a large number of gigs, festivals and on Albanian and Bulgarian TV. Concert moods vary from melancholy Southern Slavic ballads to angry and complex Bulgarian rhythms.
