Welcome to the third session of Celebrating 40 years of Taidekoulu Maa! The conversation will focus on how art workers participate in different protest campaigns in Helsinki. Minna will speak about movements, demonstrations and protest cycles that have taken place over the past decade, examining how different protest movements are often intertwined, and how one grassroots initiative can become a springboard for others.

Minna Henriksson is a visual artist based in Helsinki and has been teaching at Art School Maa for about 20 years. Henriksson was also the headmaster of the school from 2020–2022, a co-editor of the book celebrating 35 years of Maa MAAN UUMEN and is currently a board member of Taidekoulu Maan kannatusyhdistys ry (the association running the school).
