Mother’s Tongue is a project to investigate the effect of not speaking one’s mother tongue.

It focuses especially and specifically on experimental live artists living and working in a culture other than their own

The program includes:

* Five days experimental live art festival on the theme of a lack of mother tongue.

* Two days conference about performance art, verbal language and creativity.

* Throughout the whole festival, anthropological research about the correlation between a lack of mother tongue and artistic work.
