Nathan Riki Thomsons doctoral concert is the second in a series of five artistic research concerts, which investigate intercultural dialogue, collaboration, and the formation of artistic identities in a transcultural context. This concert builds on concepts from Nathans first doctoral concert, further exploring resonance as both a physical sensation and a metaphor for intercultural interaction, dialogue, connection and collaboration. Nathan Riki Thomson creates new music, instrumental techniques and sound manipulations, inspired by interaction with diverse cultures during more than 20 years spent travelling and living away from his homeland of Australia, including 5 years living in Africa.
