Tumultus is the second event in the Causatum Live Cinema series, purely committed to practices using improvised live moving image and sound. The events focus on ephemeral nature of moving image when created live without a script or score. The events delve into the subconscious of the image and sound creation, in an attempt to be well ahead of film and sound narrative realisation, usually created and mediated through the written word. This time we pay close attention to the sound during the performance: what causes it, where it originates and how it is manipulated, to be ”aurally visual” while experiencing the performances. The evening’s programme will feature the duo ASTEPBACK, formed by two Italian artists, Andrea Saggiomo  and Gaëlle Cavalieri , Derek Holzer, Marek Pluciennik

Tumultus will take place on the 23rd of August, 2018 at Myymälä2 Gallery, Uudenmaankatu 23, Helsinki at 18:00, together with the opening of Marek Pluciennik´s exhibition Ephemeral Philm.
