The Finnish Musicians’ Union and G Livelab Helsinki invite you to a jam session on the 22nd of August at 7pm in G Livelab Helsinki. The jam session is open for all music performers.
The unaffected Joy of music will be presented as the house band Adventures amidst soul, funk and afrobeat with help from international guests: Edith WeUtonga , an award-winning contemporary traditional musician and bassist, mbira artist Nancy “Nasibo” Mutize and vocalist-poet Chioneso Rutsito , all from Zimbabwe. Sibelius Academy’s Global Music Department’s teacher Puro Paju (bass), Helsinki–Cotonou Ensemble’s leader Janne Halonen (guitar) and Juha Räsänen from the same group (drums) form the house band. The evening is hosted by vocalist, composer and Musicians’ Union Community Coordinator Anna Dantchev .
We’re looking forward to meeting you! The jam session is open for all music performers – just bring your own instrument. G Livelab offers amplifiers, drums, a grand piano and vocal mics.
