The concert Vuorten huiput, sademetsän ilo (Mountain peaks, jungle’s joy) features Peruvian and Brazilian chamber music performed by Clara Petrozzi (viola) and Claudia Graupner (piano).
In this uncommon art music repertoire we can hear echoes of South America’s popular and traditional music. The programme includes works by important Peruvian and Brazilian composers from the 20th century, such as Heitor Villa-Lobos, César Guerra-Peixe, Celso Garrido-Lecca and Armando Guevara Ochoa; and first performances in Finland of Metáforas by Sadiel Cuentas and the Sonata del trigono dell’aria by Alejandro Núñez Allauca.
