Catalysti + Vuotalo come together this Fall 2025 for a series of 6 artist-led workshops celebrating dance, drawing and sound, zine-making, language understood through clay, symbols of protection, and mushroom imaginations.

Have you ever wondered what your drawings sound like?
Do they sound like big or tiny creatures?
Are they real, imaginary or a bit of both?
In Ana Gutieszca’s Sonic Pencil workshop we have fun while exploring sounds created by drawing. We will draw with special pencils of Gutieszca’s own invention, that transform drawings into sound in real time. Together we explore a new way of drawing that activates the senses of both, hearing and sight. You can draw an animal, a magic forest full of fantastic sounding creatures or even a group of singing monkeys traveling to space!
Sound takes our mind to unknown places. Let yourself be inspired!

Participants: 10 children per session.

How long should the participants commit for? 45 min.
Other considerations:
There are two sessions of 45 min each, including a short introduction to the technique, and free creative work supervised and guided by the instructor. There is a 15 min break after each session to clean and prepare the tables for the next session.Schedule: First session: 16.00 – 16.45. Second session: 17.00 – 17.45
Instruction languages: Finnish, English & Spanish.
