Catalysti events are back on Thursday 20.8. at 7 pm! With two performances for the Helsinki Experimental Series 2020, curated by Sergio Castrillón. Save the date!

It will be Catalysti Night of the Arts 2020! With artists:

Gonzalo Muruaga (ARG/FIN). Electric guitar and electronics & Daniela Pascual (ECU/FIN). Action and sound performance.

Gonzalo Muruaga’s musical approach combines elements of jazz, free improvisation, experimental music, sound investigationand interdisciplinary cooperation. In April 2020 he released “Postales de un viaje sin retorno” with the Tampere based label Eclipse Music.

Daniela Pascual is a practitioner straddling urban studies and performance art. Her research focuses on space, autonomy, modes of inhabiting and organisational practices.

Natalia Castrillón (COL/FIN), lever and Colombian harp & Suva (IND/FIN), action and sound performance.

Natalia Castrillón is a harp player born in Colombia and based in Finland since 2015. She is interested in intercultural collaborations through music as well as bringing the sound of the lever harp to diverse contexts. Her influences come from her background in classical music, world music and experimental improvised music. She has a Master’s degree in Global Music from the Sibelius Academy and currently works as a harp performer in several multidisciplinary and collaborative projects with poets, dancers and visual artists. She also works as a music teacher at the International School of Music Finland and Interlkult Ry.

Suva is interested in the aspect of public anatomy – making and doing something with public. The tools of intervention, interaction, anticipation , perception and the sense of community. Interest in engaging people to perform to have access to collective understanding of Art form. He combines the notion of Body and material in his performances.
