Vahid Goodarzpour is a visual artist based in Finland. He studied filmmaking at the School of Journalism in Tehran / Tehran News Faculty, and also holds a certificate in advertising photography. He is a member of the Iran Advertising, Architectural and Industrial Photographers Association, as well as a member of Institute for Promotion of Contemporary Visual Art. He has collaborated with the first issue of “Navdan” magazine, published by Association of Advertising Photographers. He has also collaborated as a photographer on the art book project titled “ABGINEH-Mirror House” which features the artistic works of some Iranian artists. He likes and plans to hold a photography exhibition in Finland.
As a director, he has worked on a documentary called “Rashti Doozi-embroidery” and short films such as “Shadows” and “Leyli and Majnun.” He has also worked as a cinematographer on a student TV show called “Long Shot.” Currently, he is focused on two film projects, one involving the creation of a film from a collection of found footage and his own old films, and the other a short film about the human mind.
