Documentary filmmaker, video and freelance editor.
Born in Barcelona, 1988. I have a degree in Audiovisual Communication by Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). I finished my studies between Berlin (FU and UDK) and Helsinki, where I moved two years ago for an internship in film production at Illume Oy.
My professional experience in cinema is quite diverse: Film production assistant in Inland Film Company working in a Peter von Bagh documentary project; In San Sebastián Film Festival (Spain), Cinemaissí film festival and Random Film Festival as a responsible of acquisitions and program; Documentary filmmaker in Berlin for the Catalan TV3; currently I have been working as an editor freelancer for commercial, trailer and music videos. However, I aim to make documentaries after my first experience, Saunoa (2013), a visual essay.
My practice in documentary film has been focused on common human attitudes that become particular over a long time of observation. I like to identify the differences in human attitude towards people, objects, cities and cultural activities depending on the environment.
My way of capturing reality is by looking in a lateral movement, like being on a train and watching a movie on the other side of the window. I have been moving from different places for the last years and this has conditioned the way I look at: a moving reality, in a permanent displacement on a straight line that leads to different directions.
