Hanan Mahbouba (b. 1990, San Jose, CA) is a writer, producer and filmmaker. Before moving to Helsinki from NYC in 2019 she produced and wrote for documentary, commercial and independent film projects for 5+ years. In 2018 she received her MFA from The Writer’s Foundry at St. Joseph’s College. In 2020 she wrote and directed the short film Fatima Falling and is currently at work on the script for her first feature film. She is most interested in stories that explore the spaces in between belonging and otherness.
