Nayab Ikram (b. 1992) is a photographer and visual artist from the Åland Islands. She is of Pakistani descent and currently based in Turku, Finland. She graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Culture and Arts degree, majoring in photography, from Novia University of Applied Sciences, Jakobstad, in Finland. Ikram explore concepts like culture identity, identity formations and the communication between the individual and society. She approach the different aspects of the identity trough visual medium such as photography, video, installation and mixed media. Ikram has had numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in Europe. She has exhibited her work through the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels, Belgium (2017), Rotterdam Photo Festival, The Netherlands (2017) and Moderna Museet, Sweden (2016).
