EMMA is seeking a visionary professional exhibition for the permanent post of
Chief Curator
As a Chief Curator your role is to Develop and manage EMMA’s exhibition operations as part of the overall development of the museum. You will serve as the line manager for the exhibition team and are part of the project management steering group. You will be launching and Resourcing international and Finnish exhibition projects with a strong customer-centered focus. Also you will be curating some of the exhibitions. Building Maintaining contacts and collaborative networks Internationally Also is a key aspect of your role.
We expect you to demonstrate strong practical experience in Finnish and international exhibition curating and productions in the fields of contemporary and modern art. Also you are expected to have in-depth knowledge about the museum sector and an applicable university degree and show an Ability to work as part of the leadership team. As a manager you will of adopt the coaching style of leadership and you understand the unique aspects of managing experts, Allowing space for ideas to grow.
