In the first open call we are looking for artworks in which an act of performance has been a vital part of the working process. We are looking for work that has been inspired by a performance, resulting in a new piece of art – for example, an installation, text, a drawing, a cartoon or audio work. The piece can also be a video documentation of a live performance, a performance executed for camera, or a photographic documentation.

The first OpenCall of Gallery Oksasenkatu 11 is a unique opportunity for bold and open-minded brainstorming. We want to encourage unusual ways of expression. The space is free of charge. The open call welcomes artists and art students in all stages of their career. The applicant can be an individual or a group. You can apply with an idea for an exhibition occupying the whole space, or with a single piece of work.

Exhibition will take place 15th -28th of February 2015.
