KAARISILTA ART AND ACTIVITY CENTER INVITES ARTISTS WITH NEED OF SPECIAL SUPPORT TO PARTICIPATE KAARISILTA BIENNALE 2017 ART EVENT.
Biennale is a summertime event starting 27th June till the 8th of August 2017. The Exhibition will be presented at the Kaarisilta premises in Vill�hde and also at Art Kaarisilta Gallery in Helsinki. The Opening Event of the Exhibition will be on Wednesday 21st June 2017.
Kaarisilta Biennale�s aim is to enable artistic dialog between different artists and organizations. We also want to make art of people with special needs more accessible for wider public. Kaarisilta Biennale takes place in Ersta Mansion and it�s surroundings which are well known for it�s natural beauty. We also exhibit Kaarisilta Biennale in Art Kaarisilta Art Gallery in Helsinki city center. Previous Biennale Exhibitions have been successful and popular with the good feedback both from public and art critics.
All artists with the need of special support are welcome to apply to Kaarisilta Biennale. The Exhibition is juried by the applications sent us. Each Artist can apply with five artworks which are made during the last five years. Technique is optional, we are able to present all kinds of artworks from paintings to sculptures and video art. There is also a good opportunity to present outdoor sculptures etc. on the premises of the Kaarisilta Mansion. The Exhibition is free of cost to the participants. Each artist/Art Studio needs to take care of the shipments of their artworks and possible insurances for the artworks.
The application must be sent to Kaarisilta by the 31st of March 2017. We advice you to do it via email () by sending us the information asked in an application form and the pictures of your artworks. In the application form we ask the details of each artwork: measurements, technique, year etc. We also wish you send us good quality pictures of each artwork for the jury.
