- The exhibitions should preferably be of duration of four weeks, including
installation and dismounting. Proposals for shorter and longer periods are also considered. - The application is free form, but it should clearly state:
- Your exhibition theme and content
- Preferred date of the exhibition
- Describe the works in planning
- CV or artist statement
Myymälä2 gallery is an artist-run exhibition and event space in the centre of
Helsinki since 2002. Over the years, it has strengthened its position in Helsinki as
an alternative space dedicated to visual arts, experimental music, design and
street culture. It also includes a small shop of independent publishing. Myymälä2
is presenting dedicated artists from different disciplines of various cultural and
educational backgrounds, whose attitude toward art is experimental and
unconventional.
Myymälä2 has to charge rent for the exhibition space. In 2018 the amount is
850 euros/month. The rent includes supervision of the gallery space during the
open hours, digital invitations, and promotion at our social media sites.
Myymälä2 does not charge commission on sales.
The results will be published on 27.01.2018.
