We are looking for a live cinema performance with the following specs/criteria: subject matter open, live manipulation of image and audio, image can be prerecorded or live, the audio must be created live, duration max. 20min
Tumultus is the second event in the Causatum Live Cinema series, purely committed to practices using improvised live moving image and sound. The events focus on ephemeral nature of moving image when created live without a script or score. The events delve into the subconscious of the image and sound creation, in an attempt to be well ahead of film and sound narrative realization, usually created and mediated through the written word. This time we pay close attention to the sound during the performance: what causes it, where it originates and how it is manipulated, to be ”aurally visual” while experiencing the performances. The evening’s programme will feature the duo ASTEPBACK, formed by two Italian artists, Andrea Saggiomo (live cinema and sound) and Gaëlle Cavalieri (dance and sound) and Marek Pluciennik (live cinema and sound) and soon to be announced a Catalysti ry artist.
Tumultus will take place on the 23rd of August, 2018 at Myymälä2 Gallery , Uudenmaankatu 23, Helsinki at 18:00, together with the opening of Marek Pluciennik´s exhibition EPHEMERAL PHILM
