Korvat auki / Open Ears, a society for contemporary music, will produce a performance for Musica nova Helsinki festival in February 2021 with the theme “Helsinki Polytopes”. Four composers, musicians or music creators will create new collaborative works with four other artists (e.g. architects or other collaborators) for the project.

In this call we are looking for a creative and imaginative reinterpretation of the theme “sounds and space” connected with your own views: In which unforeseen way can space and sound connect to make a whole in your work? How would you like to work together with an artist (e.g. an architect or other collaborator), who is working in another medium, and might make use of any form of non-musical “space”, including for example light design, virtual space, or the internet.
