Mohamed Louanjli is a Moroccan-born Australian interdisciplinary artist, designer, educator, and poet based in Helsinki.
His practice spans code, photography, print, sound, and creative writing, shaped by computational aesthetics and research exploring the effects of the digital universe, microprocessors, AI, error, aerial imagery, speed, and war on the human condition.
In addition to his artistic work, Louanjli has significant experience as an art director and photographer, collaborating with above-the-line agencies and co-founding creative studios focused on strategic communication and visual identity. He also served as a council member on the AGDA (Australian Graphic Design Association) board in Queensland.
Louanjli holds a PhD from Queensland College of Art and Design – Griffith University, an MPhil in Visual Arts from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and an MFA from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in France.
