Open Call for Catalysti Artists: Why So Myrtsi? Myyrmäki Arts Night 2024

The Other Side performance art platform, in collaboration with Catalysti RY, is excited to announce an open call for five performance artists for Myyrmäki Arts Night 2024, organized by Myyrmäki-Seura. Vantaa is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and Why So Myrtsi is marking its 10th anniversary. To celebrate, The Other Side will bring street performances from Catalysti artist members. All works are to be live and executed on the Myyrmäenraitti pathway (see the images of the path here). Five proposals will be selected by The Other Side curators, Aman Askarizad and Parsa Kamehkhosh, for this event. Please note that the Myyrmäki Night of the Arts event has no age restriction and includes families and children. Therefore, we cannot accept works that expose total nudity due to restrictions set by the hosting organizer. Fire and fire-related objects are also prohibited. Tech support and extensive set-ups may be challenging in a public space, but we will review proposals on a case-by-case basis (complex tech-oriented performance proposals may not be well-suited for our fair).
