In Let the wandering talk is on it´s own behalf multidisciplinary dance piece, choreographer and dancer Nadja Pärssinen and sound artist Stephen Stamper have studied the wandering in a relation to the sound and video material works from the 12 hours of hiking in Trolltunga-hiking road in Norway. At the heart of the solo’s interdisciplinary work is to observe the choreographic thinking, moods and longing that emerge from walking, bringing to light a relationship to vast natural landscapes, corporeality, mythologies, memories and use of technology pierced by a video camera lens.

What kind of things does wandering reveal and make visible, and how could it open up into an interdisciplinary entity, taking into account the natural environment and female corporeality? are important questions for Pärssinen.

Length of the dance piece is 35-40 min. After the performance, there will be an artist talk, music, chocolate and wine provided.

Graphic Designer for Catalysti Visual Identity Makeover

We are looking for a graphic designer/ website designer or anyone with equivalent experience in the field who will collaborate with our web developer Ville for a Catalysti facelift. The designer will be responsible for crafting a new logo, deciding on a color palette, and selecting font styles for the website. The plan should include the idea to keep the major framework of the website intact while devising more contemporary visuals—we are not looking to create a new site. Instead, we would like to find the most simple solution to reimagine the visual identity of the association. The co-artistic directors will identify the requirements and areas where the site needs improvement and the web developer will implement the graphic designer’s ideas (building/refining Catalysti’s current website).

Catalysti is celebrating its 10th birthday next February, and we wish to announce a new page for the next decade or more. The Catalysti website is an archive that stores all activities of the organisation. It is also the face that welcomes people who know little about us or are searching for information about the organisation. Therefore, we wish to make a website that is easy to navigate yet provides all relevant information for the visitors.

We will prioritise Catalysti members for this position. The initial fee is 1500 euros, but extra compensation could be agreed upon together depending on the scope of the work. If you are interested in taking on this task, please send us an email with the title [Website Facelift_Your Name] at with a pdf that includes a short description of you and your experience with this kind of work (max 500 words), some work samples, and a link to your portfolio/website.

The deadline for the application is 23.10.2022 at 23:59 EEST. We will be in contact with the candidates the week after the deadline.

Hope to hear from you!
