Catalysti first Open Meeting 2018

Dear artists,

Welcome to Catalysti first Open Meeting of the new year!

On Sunday 4.2. at 5-7 pm in Caf� Baribal, Per�miehenkatu 6/8 Helsinki.

We�ll talk about projects and activities for 2018 and prepare the association�s General Meeting, to be held in the spring.

The focus will be on the candidatures for the new board: all the positions are open, so you are warmly invited to come and participate!

The future of Catalysti depends on you too!

Open call for curators: results

Catalysti board voted and approved the following projects for 2018:

Africa Inside / Future Inside, World Village Festival 26.-27.5.2018. Curator: Tatiana Solovieva. Artists: Rosamaria Bolom, Macoumba Ndiaye

Mechanics of Conformity, Objekti Festival, Espoo, August-September 2018. Curator: Sepideh Rahaa. Artists: Rosamaria Bolom, Edwina Goldstone, Martina Mino Perez, Sepideh Rahaa, Arlene Tucker.

Catalysti pikkujoulu & end of the year get-together

You�re warmly welcome to join us for this end of the year get-together in caf� Gran Delicato!

In Kalevankatu 34, Helsinki, on Saturday 16.12. at 4-6 pm.

We�ll announce the results of the Open Call for Curators and collect ideas and suggestions for next year activities.

The party will merrily spill over the city after 6 pm…

Open call for curators, deadline 24.11.

Do you have an idea for Catalysti�s 2018 events? Would you like to curate some of them next year?

This open call for Catalysti members is for three different curators for: Week Against Racism, World Village Festival and Objekti festival. Please find here below the dates of the events and other infos:

Week Against Racism: March 21st-25th 2018, live art event: one date in that week, possible location WHS theatre, Helsinki.

World Village Festival: May 2018, two participatory art installations. Next spring, the festival focuses on the goals of the United Nations� 2030 Agenda for Sustainable

Development. The regional focus is Africa.

Objekti Festival: end of August-beginning of September, Espoo (including Espoo Day, around 25-27 August). Locations: Galleria Espoonsilta (available for an exhibition) and public spaces in Espoo centre. Live art event to be organized in public spaces in the area, in collaboration with Objekti festival.

Voices and Spaces: Paola Livorsi’s portrait concert on YLE Radio 1

On Friday October 20th Helsinki Music Centre, Black Box, will host the portrait concert of Paola Livorsi, Voices and Spaces, with live video art by Marek Pluciennik. With Tuuli Lindeberg soprano, Anni Elif Egecioglu vocalist, Ahoora Hosseini daf/tombak, Petri Kumela guitar, Uusinta Ensemble dir. J�szef H�rs, Juan de Diós Magdaleno live electronics.
